Artificial Intelligence In Drug Delivery Systems Development And Targeting: A Comprehensive Literature Review

Abstract

In this review, we systematically present how AI disruptively contributes to the development of drug transportation system from their origination to targeting in precision therapeutic agent. In this review, we describe how AI as a machine learning algorithm and computational models is useful in circumventing the "Curse of Dimensionality" to optimize complex drug-material interactions which could facilitate the rapid design and development of next-generation drug delivery platforms. Furthermore, it explores the positive effect of AI on drug target specificity and effectiveness for better patient conditions and lower off-target effect.
