Abstract The study was conducted in the laboratories of the College of Science, Department of Environment and Pollution at the University of Kufa. This study aimed to demonstrate and evaluate the effectiveness of extracts of a group of local medicinal plants, Thymus vulgaris and Cyperus rotundus. Fungi were also used in biological control: Trichoderma harzianum and Pleurotus ostreatus against Candida dubliniensis yeasts. This current studied using the green method, to evaluate the effectiveness of these plant extracts and fungal filtrates in inhibiting the pathogenic yeast growth. The studied yeasts showed their sensitivity against plant extracts and fungal filtrate. As the fungus p. ostreatus was more effective than the fungus T.harzianum, filtrates and the aqueous extract were the best filtrayes and extracts in inhibiting the yeast. The Candida dubliniensis isolates were identified by using conventional techniques such as microscopic identification, CHRO Magar culture and VITEK2-compact system. After confirming that the isolates were indeed Candida dubliniensis, the isolates were subjected to various treatments with green techniques to investigate the antifungal activity on Mueller Hinton agar by using the well diffusion method. The means of inhibition zone diameter for all isolates of using P. ostreatus filtrates was (3.8) cm as a diameter ,while was (2,8) cm for addition of T.harzianum filtrates in the well , also the efficacy of using Cyperus rotunds and Thymus vulgaris leaves axstract in treatment of the Candida dubliniensis appear that the inhibition zone were (1.8,1.4 )mm respectively ,so all the above treatments certificate significant differences on inhibition zone in compare with control that used distill water in the wells. The results also indicated that the inhibition zone of Fluconazole with Candida dubliniensis was ( 3.1 ) cm, while of Nystatin with same yeast was( 2.6 ) cm in compare with Cyperus rotundus and Thymus vulgaris leaves extracts and Trichoderma harzianum , pleasures ostreatus fungal filtrates figure, also Amphotericin ,Clotrimazole,Ketoconazole and Itraconazole gave inhibition zone (1.6,2.1,2.6 and 2.1) cm respectively .
